Since 1985, Dr. Scaglione has been doing therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, and neuropsychological assessment with a broad array of clients adjusting to trauma, loss, neurodiversity, and chronic illness or injury. Since people and their needs are diverse and complex, her approach is practical and varied. A biopsychosocial perspective emphasizing depth, humanistic, trauma-informed, and mindfulness approaches, and prioritizing self-care are incorporated into her work. She understands the importance of focusing on peoples’ strengths and resources. Her training in anthropology, and personal background contribute to a sensitivity to issues of identity and culture.
